Recitals and Schedule

 

Each piano lesson season, which runs from September to May, students participate in one or two recitals: one in the spring, usually May or early June, and some years in December, prior to winter holiday break. The number of recitals each year depends on family schedules and student preparedness. Recitals are held at the Community of Christ church in Spokane Valley, with parking and facilities to easily accommodate family and friends of 35+ students.

 

In 2020, due to Covid19, we scheduled our first virtual recital. Students recorded and submitted videos of their performances, which were edited together to create a private, online recital presentation. 

 

We hope to return to in-person recitals when it is safe to do so, as the fellowship between students and families within our studio community are special and important events enjoyed by all.

Whether in person or virtual, recital performance encourages personal responsibility and commitment to a goal, and gives each student the opportunity to share their developing skills with others who share the same musical interest and challenges.
